Event Locations & Logistics

1. Most convention activities and the first three A-meets will take place August 3rd through August 8th at the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch in Elbert, Colorado. Elbert is located along the Palmer Divide, approximately one hour southeast of Denver and about 45 minutes northeast of Colorado Springs.

2. On Thursday, August 9th, the convention activities will move to Colorado Springs for the Trail-O Demo Event at Garden of the Gods followed by a tour of the Olympic Training Center. We suggest that you stay in the Woodland Park area from Thursday night through Saturday night.

3. The remaining "A" meets, the Sprint Relay, the USOF Annual General Meeting (AGM), and the closing dinner will take place on August 10th, 11th, and 12th in the Woodland Park area. Woodland Park is located approximately 30 minutes northwest of Colorado Springs (about two hours from Peaceful Valley).

   

Suggested Itineraries

 Early August is high season in Colorado, and the "2007 State Games of America" are taking place in Colorado Springs from August 2nd through August 6th. So, lodging will be in high demand. We strongly recommend that you make your reservations as early as possible.

• Option #1: Stay at or near Peaceful Valley for the nights of August 3rd through the 8th. Then, stay at or near Woodland Park for the nights of August 9th through the 11th.

• Option #2: Stay in northern Colorado Springs for the duration (i.e., for the nights of August 3rd through the 11th). You'll have about a 45-minute drive each day, either to Peaceful Valley or to the Woodland Park area.
